In 2006, Habermann Aurum Pumpen successfully delivered its NPK and RPL series pumps for the transportation of saturated brine in an underground mine. These pumps are characterized by high performance and are designed for use in an aggressive environment with a solids content of up to 15 mm and a density of 2.65 kg/l. They are designed to handle a discharge pressure of up to 115 meters. They are designed to guarantee a discharge pressure of up to 115 meters. Since their installation, the pumps have been operating trouble-free, confirming their reliability and efficiency.

Project Summary
Technical Details & Challenges One of Western Europe's largest brine mining companies was in search of an optimal solution to transport up to 110 [m3/hr] of saturated brine with a pulp density of 1.25 [kg/liter]. The challenge lies in achieving a total differential head of 115 [meter] under challenging conditions. This includes the presence of solid particles, with sizes reaching up to 15 [mm], and a density of 2.65 [kg/liter].
Our Solution In the pursuit of highest efficiency, our engineering team has designed a specialized configuration for our NPK armored pumps, allowing them to operate in series.
The NPK series is our line of centrifugal pumps purpose-built to endure extreme operating conditions, effortlessly handling coarse-grained solids of up to 150 [mm], thanks to its highly wear and corrosion-resistant casting. To reach a head of 110 [m], we relied on the superior performance of our RPL heavy-duty pump. This pump with protective metallic finish to ensure resilience in the face of demanding challenges in industrial applications.

Used equipment The NPK 100/315 pumps are connected in series and driven by electrical motors. Engineered with hydraulic components made from our high-wear and corrosion-resistant material, HBN 480, with a hardness rating of 58 HCR.

Additionally, the RPL 65/300 horizontal armored pump is equipped with an HGD-1.

The electric motor for this pump is equipped with a frequency inverter, enabling the adaptation of speed to suit diverse operational requirements.
