In numerous underground infrastructure products for the supply and disposal of water and energy, as well as for subway construction worldwide, the high reliability of the machinery technology used is a crucial success factor for project realisation.

Pioneers of tunnel pumps – In the 1970s, we developed the first discharge and supply pumps for the automated mechanical drive (AVN®, registered trademark of HERRENKNECHT) based on our experiences in the transport of solid-liquid mixtures.

In tunnelling machines, only very restricted installation space is available by design. To meet this need, a very compact, easily serviceable and extremely long-lasting pump model series was created. Even today, our tunnel pumps, which are continuously adapted to the current tasks in micro-tunnelling and pipe-jacking and developed further, are state-of-the-art.

In the mid-1980s, the application for our discharge pumps was extended to the area of hydromechanical production of milled diaphragm walls. During the course of this type of work, the diaphragm wall is filled with support suspension and the drilling debris created by tunnelling is continuously transported above ground to the de-sanding, via a feed pump, which is integrated into the machine frame. For longer distances to the de-sanding plant, appropriate identically constructed booster pumps are available.
